Simple Omelette Recipe

An easy and quick dish, perfect for any meal. This classic meal combines beaten eggs 
cooked to perfection, optionally filled with your choice of cheese, vegetables or meats.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 large eggs

  • Salt, to taste

  • Pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon of butter or oil

  • Optional filling: cheese, diced vegetables, cooked meat, herbs


Instructions

  1. Beat the egg: In a bowl, beat the egg with a pinch of salt and pepper until they are well mixed. You can add a tablespoon of of water or milk for a fluffier texture.

  2. Heat the pan: Place a non-sticky frying pan over medium heat and butter or oil.

  3. Cook the Omelette: Ones the butter is melted and bubbling, pour in the eggs. Tilt the pan to ensure to ensure the egg evenly coats the surface.

  4. Add filing (optional): When the eggs begin to set at the edges but are still slightly runny in the middle, sprinkle choosen filling over one half of the omelette.

  5. Fold and serve: As the omelette continues to cook, carefully lift one edge and fold it over the fillings. Let it cook for another one minute, then slide it onto a plate.

  6. Enjoy: Serve hot, with additional salt and pepper if needed.
